Event recap: Taxes and the Small Business Owner

Yesterday, the Colorado Women’s Chamber of Commerce hosted GHP Horwath’s leadership workshop “Taxes and the Small Business Owner: Tips and Traps.”  The seminar covered a variety of topics including: maximizing deductions, choice of entity – benefits and burdens, the home office – red flag or sound tax strategy, business auto – driving the deductions, and recordkeeping and retention – how to track it and what to keep.  Here are testimonials from some of the attendees:

  • “This is a ‘must attend’ course for anyone starting a new business.”
  • “Great presentation, and it made complex information easy to understand and retain.”
  • “I think the class should be extended 1/2 hour for more Q&A.”
