Participants will gain knowledge from local experts in the areas of networking, public relations and advertising. We will hear from Kelly Stangel, small business liaison with the Denver Business Journal, Leanna Clark, principal and co-owner of Schenkein Public Relations and Missy Altergott, Director of Account Management with McClain Finlon Advertising.

Now in his 25th year with American City Business Journals, Scott has served as president & publisher of the Denver Business Journal since 1996. Prior to publishing the Denver paper, he served as publisher of the business journals in Cincinnati, Rochester and Indianapolis.

Scott’s community involvement includes board positions with the Denver Metro Convention & Visitors Bureau, Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce, Downtown Denver Partnership and Junior Achievement. He served as board chair of the Convention & Visitors Bureau in 2004. In 2006, Scott received an honorary doctorate degree from Johnson & Wales University and gave the 2006 commencement address to graduates of Johnson & Wales University.
