The Adventures of Pinky: DTC Luncheon

Yesterday was my first trip out of the CWCC Offices.  I had such a nice time meeting all of the participants who attended the DTC Lunch with Leeann Iacino.  She was such an inspirational speaker.

Leeann has such a positive outlook on life, even after battling cancer twice.  It was amazing to listen to her stories of how she looks forward and gives back to the community.  Leeann started the Prestige Foundation, which helps sick children and she also helps to raises money for breast cancer through the Avon Walk.  She is a mentor to young girls and she takes 40 kids to Mexico every year to build houses for underprivileged people.

One other thing that Leeann said that struck a chord with me was her take on the current housing market.  With years of experience in real estate, she said that the market wasn’t as bleak as the media makes it look, especially in Denver.

After the luncheon, I networked with a number of Chamber members including Donna Martinez from the Denver Daily News and Cynthia Asensio from the new Vino 100 DTC wine store.  I also met Board Member Joni Close from Close Connection LLC.

Where will I turn up next?  Make sure you check out my next adventure in the CWCC Blog and if you see me at an event, stop by and say hello!
