Adventures of Pinky: After Hours at JohnstonWells PR

Last night I had the best time during the CWCC’s business after hours at JohnstonWells Public Relations. My new friend, George, is in town visiting this week. He just arrived from Missouri and will be heading to California next week as part of his chamber-to-chamber road trip across the United States. It is nice to spend time with him and show him around Denver.

Last night, I was able to introduce George around to CWCC members and event visitors. I hope that you all got a chance to meet him; if not, come to the Downtown Luncheon tomorrow at Maggiano’s.

We were all very impressed with the new offices at JohnstonWells and their amazing folk art collection. The venue has 176 pieces of art spread throughout the office, which started out as a hobby for company founder Gwin Johnston. The building was originally Rocky Mountain Seed Co. and the first half of this amazing building was built in 1894 and the second half in 1921. How neat is that? Everyone was so nice, we even got a picture on someone’s desk….shh…don’t tell.

The food last night was great! George really loved these parmesan pita chips with the artichoke spread. I loved the marinated mushrooms, fresh red papers and feta and of course the strawberries—I love summer. We were both very impressed with the caterer Continental “Divine” Catering.

Overall, it was a great evening of networking, eating and visiting with my friends.
