DENVER (July 14, 2022) – As the workforce continues to smart after seeing millions of women leave their jobs during the pandemic, the Colorado Women’s Chamber of Commerce (CWCC) is recognizing the accomplishments of 25 local women leaders whose myriad accomplishments throughout the last decades have positively impacted the entire region.
Cleo Parker Robinson, founder and artistic director of Cleo Parker Robinson Dance and an unwavering image of the power of arts throughout Colorado and beyond, headlines the CWCC’s 10th-annual Top 25 Most Powerful Women in Business as its first-ever Legacy Award Winner.
Throughout her 52-year career, Parker Robinson has become synonymous with uplifting the power of the oppressed through performance art. The power of what began five decades ago in her Five-Points studio has spread throughout Colorado and beyond.
“Cleo Parker Robinson is the ideal inaugural recipient of the Top 25 Legacy Award as she is the epitome of the intersection of identity that drives advancement, innovation, and creativity in business,” said Simone D. Ross, CEO of the CWCC. “She excels in art, business, entrepreneurship, education, philanthropy, and has reached community-icon status.”
The Top 25 Most Powerful Women in Business Gala will be hosted at Wings Over The Rockies Air & Space Museum on Thursday, August 11, from 5:30- 8:00 p.m. Tickets and sponsorships typically sell out quickly and can be purchased at CWCC.org.
“It is fitting that in our 10th milestone year, we had a record number of nominations of incredible women who do so much in business and within the community,” said Ross. “This impressive class of winners is truly committed to advancing women in business and actively work to promote equity in the workplace.”
