It is with a heavy heart that we announce the departure of Kristen Blessman as President and CEO. Over the past nearly five years, Kristen has been an energetic and passionate leader for the CWCC. Thanks to her leadership and member support and engagement, we have grown to new heights and are setting course to put Colorado on the map as THE state in the nation for women to advance in business.
Please join us in congratulating Kristen, who has accepted a new role as President and General Manager of PBS12, Colorado Public Television.
Kristen will remain with the CWCC until October 11th, after which we welcome our new Interim CEO, Simone D. Ross. You can learn more about Simone here.
Leanna Clark, President and CEO of Girl Scouts of Colorado and Board Chair of CWCC, will be leading the search for our new CEO.
“While I am so very sorry to be losing Kristen, I am very grateful for her nearly 5 years with us,” says Clark. “During her time we approached the $1million mark in revenue, elevated the CWCC brand with fresh new events and programming, and of course rebuilt the CWCC governing board, created the young professionals board and several other leadership committees to help grow the CWCC mission. The organization is now well positioned for a new leader who can take the helm and lead us into the future.”
