Name: Colorado Women's Hall of Fame
The Colorado Women’s Hall of Fame highlights extraordinary women and their accomplishments to advance the roles of today’s women to levels of heightened recognition and models of inspiration. These great Colorado women inspire our next generation through their stories of grit and grace.
Since 1985, the Hall has grown to 152 Inductees, including 69 contemporary and 83 historical women. Inductees include Colorado Supreme Court Justice Mary Mullarkey, sports great “Babe” Didrikson Zaharias, singer Judy Collins, choreographer Cleo Parker Robinson, space scientist JoAnn Cram, Former Secretary of State Madeline Albright, and animal behavior expert Temple Grandin.
New inductees, six contemporary and four historic, are nominated and selected every other year at the Hall’s Induction Ceremony. (Save the date for March 28, 2018)
So many women in the Hall are unsung heroes, hidden figures, who have endured with superlative strength, beauty and love. They are shining examples of the potential of all women. Their accomplishments have shaped history and transform the perspectives of all citizens throughout Colorado.
I hope you’ll join me at an upcoming event to support the Colorado Women’s Hall of Fame on October 17th at Liberty Oilfield Resources. And, feel free to pass along the invitation to men and women who support women. For just $40 you’ll enjoy a wine and chocolate pairing by the Chocolate Therapist and a short talk by Inductee, Jo Ann Cram Joselyn, PhD. You can read more about the event below, and your ticket can be reserved at: http://www.cogreatwomen.org/home/upcoming-activities/
