The Why: Why do you do what you do/ why are you passionate about your work in our community?

My grandparents owned two restaurants in small town Illinois – a breakfast place where the farmers would gather around the counter for coffee and conversation, and a vibrant supper club where people would enjoy a hearty meal and dance the night away to some classic country music. My strong and loving grandmother was the center of it all. I grew up watching her treat her customers like family. She exuded compassion, empathy, and had the skills to balance two very different business models. Learning these business and relationship skills paired with my love for public service led to my dream job in corporate social responsibility. I hope to inspire women to serve the causes they are passionate about and prosper in businesses. Because doing good is good business.
