Name: Sarah Mercer
Organization: Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck
Community work: I’m on the board of the National Sports Center for the Disabled and sit on the Colorado Access to Justice Commission. also serve as the pro bono lobbyist for Colorado Legal Services helping to secure funding for civil legal aid.
CWCC Involvement: serve on our board, support our members and team, etc.): I’ve served on the CWCC board for about a year and a half and co-chair the Governance and Nominating committee. I’m also leading the CWCC board’s commitment to advance racial justice by honestly reckoning with racism, bias, and inclusivity.
The Why: I relish jumping into the mire and leaning on my ability to build trust and relationships to solve intractable legal and political problems for my clients. The hairier the issue, the more exciting for me. I’m proud that I can produce results when others have failed because I offer fresh solutions and manage to align conflicting stakeholders.
